Your next American motorcycle inched closer to dealer showrooms last month with an agreement for dealer financing support.

The agreement, signed last month with GE Capital's Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) division, provides financial inventory support- often referred to as "floorplan financing." CDF will make it easier for powersports dealers to carry the new sport-touring motorcycles, thus allowing Motus to build a dealer network more quickly. Another deal with FreedomRoad will also make low-interest money more easily available for riders that want to buy a Motus.

All this adds up to good news for the upstart manufacturer. What this means for enthusiasts is you'll see Motus in more showrooms around the country, and most likely higher profile shops. Since 2008 Motus has been working on a homegrown motorcycle with an American-made powerplant. Stay tuned!
