For a less congested ride on the PCH head north from San Francisco and leave the sightseeers behind. But watch out for the cattle!
Start in Bodega Bay where Hitchcock filmed his classic, The Birds. Continue on through Gualala and Mendocino. A worthwhile stop in Fort Bragg is the Skunk Train.
