A report hailed as "the most comprehensive data collection effort.. in the United States in more than 30 years" offers more data on how and why we crash.

The report is comprised of data from 351 accidents occuring in Orange County, California. While not a nationwide study, the statistics still offer valuable information.

Possibly most scary is the fact motorcycle fatalities have increased since 2004, despite a decrease in overall traffic deaths. But more than anything this report highlights the need for a thorough, nationwide study of motorcycle accidents.
