You're right. According to a Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) survey from 2018 more than 10 million U.S. households own a motorcycle. If you compare that number to U.S. Census Data, it means 8.02% of households has at least one bike in the driveway.
These number are up from 2014 (the last year the survey was performed) by about 2.5 million motorcycles.
