Jose Perez-Rodriguez of Everett, MA will be tailgating from the pokie for his post-game exuberence.
It all started while leaving a New England Patriots game on October 2. It seems Perez-Rodriguez and his girlfriend were riding motorcycles. He was so excited he had to rev his engine while passing a couple of troopers. After about a dozen more aural displays in the bumper-to-bumper traffic he was asked by police to pull over. Which he did... then took off. A few minutes later he was taken into custody by state police after striking an officer.
According to a report in the Foxborough Patch:
The female operator told police that she met Perez-Rodriguez about a week earlier and they were previously at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill at Patriot Place. She said Perez-Rodriguez was trying to do burnouts and told him to stop revving his engine, according to the report.
Perez-Rodriguez was transported to a hospital and claimed he was unaware of any crash and had not been drinking. The judge disagreed and sentenced him to serve 90 days.
