The 2024 version of BMW's ever-popular adventure bike was introduced September 28. A redesigned engine, frame and suspension make this a major update. This is probably the biggest update to the GS since the Hexhead was unveiled.
Sporting a new 1300cc engine with 145hp on tap, the new R1300GS enjoys a vast number of updates and improvements. All while shaving more than 25 pounds off the weight!
The new BMW R 1300 GS: “Next level GS” featuring new boxer engine and new suspension, with significantly reduced weight and increased GS competence all round.
A new frame design featuring sheet steel with a cast alloy tail frame offers added strength while contributing to the weight reduction. Couple to this new frame are updated versions of the now-familiar Telelever front suspension and Paralever rear swingarm. The new Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) can tweak damping and spring rates on the fly- and even change ride height with an optional package.
