Unfortunately the name Gabby Giffords is best known to most Americans due to a tragic shooting in 2011. Just weeks into her third term in Congress she became the victim of a gun-weilding nut job. Fourteen people were injured and six people died. The incident, and her amazing recovery, galvanized the public. 

But there's another Gabby Giffords you might not know. This would be the Gabby Giffords that marked the anniversary of her near-fatal shooting with a skydive. Or the Gabby that rode a Lambretta scooter in college and roadraced a Yamaha RZ.
