Last month the promoters of Canada's largest motorcycle and powersports expos announced that 2022 was a no-go.

Power Sport Services (PSS) had announced last fall that shows in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Quebec would not take place in 2022. But they were hopeful Toronto and Montreal would proceed. Omicron had other ideas.

In a statement Michelle O’Hara, PSS president, explained:

"Despite the industry’s best intentions and efforts to re-unite the riding community at the Toronto and Montreal Motorcycle Shows in February 2022, the rapid advancement of the Omicron variant, coupled with the reinstatement of restrictions with no determined sunset date, means we have to put our plans on hold until 2023. But despite this recent setback, we remain optimistic about a return to our live events in 2023."

PSS has organized six events across Canada since 1985. Known simply as The Motorcycle Shows, the expos attract thousands of riders and enthusiasts.
