Please join us on the celebration of the 6th Annual Newton Street Memorial Ride...in honor of fallen Officer Ricardo Lizarraga (LAPD).

Officer Ricardo Lizarraga and his partner responded to a citizen flag-down in 2004, in south Los Angeles. The call for help was a result of a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, officers were met by the suspect, who retrieved a handgun from a bedroom. A firefight ensued and Officer Ricardo Lizarraga was shot. Subsequently, Officer Lizarraga sucumbed to his injuries and died. This was the first LAPD officer assigned to the infamous ''Newton Division'' to die in the line of duty since Dec 31, 1945.

This ride is in memory of those who gave their life to make the citizens of Los Angeles safer.

Ride begins at Laidlaw's Harley Davidson dealership in Baldwin Park, CA. Registration is from 9am-11am. All bikes are welcome and custom cars too! Early registration is recommended.

This year's ride is dedicated to recently fallen Officer Kenny Aragon (LAPD). The ride is a non-profit organization and funds are donated to the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation and the Ricardo Lizarraga Elementary School (LAUSD). Riders pay $30 (Includes: pin & lunch). Passengers pay $10 (Includes: Lunch). This ride is LAPD motor escorted.

Great scenic route this year to Mt. Baldy and ends at ''CrazyHorse'' bar & restaurant in West Covina. Excellent food, full bar, and band (SteelRod) at location.
