Distance/Length:
25 mi.
Highway:
OK-11

Great fun, not too challenging but plenty of curves. Start in Skiatook from junction with OK-20. Dual sports will want to veer off at most any dirt road to explore the Osage.

Most of the route parallels the old Katy railroad- now a hiking trail. Several small towns dot the rolling hills along the way.

Great drive through the rolling hills of the Osage. The Tall Grass Prairie just north of Pawhuska is a great final destination. Frank Phillips' hunting lodge/airplane hangar was named Woolaroc and is well worth a detour, watch for OK-123 just south of Barnsdall.

Comments:
My wife and I just took this ride today. We actually started in Tulsa (US-75)and took that to 11. Took 11 through Turley, Skiatook, and then off to Pawhuska. We took it even further and went on to Ponca City for lunch at Enreka's. Then on the way back we took 60 back out of Ponca City to 18 South. Then to 20 through Cleveland and then back to Tulsa via 51. It was a great ride. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to see a variety of Oklahoma landscape.
